Construction Ministry
At Sumter United Ministries, our Construction Ministry is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families in need by addressing critical housing and infrastructure challenges in our community. Our purpose is to ensure that homes are dry, safe, secure, and accessible, providing stability and peace of mind for those we serve.
We partner with volunteers, local churches, civic organizations, and businesses to carry out projects that enhance safety, accessibility, and quality of life. A key part of our work is made possible through our partnership with the South Carolina Housing Trust Fund. This collaboration allows us to extend our reach and impact by providing resources to address urgent housing needs, ensuring that more families can live in safe and secure homes. Together, we tackle challenges such as repairing roofs, building wheelchair ramps, and completing other critical home repairs for individuals who are unable to afford these services.
